Some piece of Moss Agate may also contain beautiful quartz formations, adding to their depth and character. The "moss" is actually made up of dendritic (branching) mineral inclusions, primarily manganese and iron oxides, within the chalcedony stone! It's not *actual* moss! For maximum visibility of these intricate details, we recommend choosing larger sizes (4mm–5mm) to truly appreciate the stone’s unique patterns.
