Who’s that handsome devil? None other than @iron_hayden_piercer 😍

Mike’s septum stretching journey has been such a joy to witness — no set goal, just beautifully stretchy tissue and a love for the process. We started with a repierce at 16g, then stretched to 14g, 12g, and now we’re sitting happily at 2.5mm. Watching it evolve has been incredibly rewarding, and I’ve been living vicariously through every step!

When we first met, I couldn’t help but notice their pre-piercer-partner septum needed a do-over — and not long after, they trusted me to repierce it. That trust meant the world. Especially after I’d taken a break from septums post-COVID — after a few that weren’t my strongest — I never quite found my footing with them again. Mike became a cornerstone in rebuilding my confidence, and I’m beyond grateful.

This journey has reaffirmed what I needed to remember: I am capable. And I’m reconnecting with elements of my craft in a more mindful, grounded way. When I’m ready, there’ll be some exciting new services on the horizon — and you know we’ll be posting when the time is right!

On transparency: Being a responsible piercer doesn’t mean being perfect — it means knowing your limits, being honest about where you’re at, and always putting safety, sanity, and consent first.

But for healed earlobes, they can be a great choice — especially for those who swap out jewelry often or have limited dexterity.

There’s nothing more satisfying for a piercer than a challenge! We got to adapt and a “traditional” navel placement using jewelry to work with anatomy, not against it!

In this case, the client had a completely viable navel shelf, but the “collapsing” style of the navel — think () vs O — posed a challenge for achieving clean symmetry!

We opted for a flat-bottom disk instead of "traditional" jewelry — you might hear this referred to as a “floating navel” style. This helped us draw attention to the center point, aligning not just with the shelf, but with the surrounding tissue as a whole.

The client will still be able to wear classic bottom-bead jewelry in the future if they chose, (or drape it with some fun chains 👀) — but for now, this option allows for comfortable healing without the added pressure a large bead could place on the inner navel tissue.
