Refund policy

This policy outlines our terms regarding bookings, cancellations, rescheduling, and body jewelry purchases. By proceeding with a booking or purchase, you confirm that you have read and accepted the terms below.


Piercing Appointments

Changed Your Mind?

Clients may cancel or reschedule their appointment in writing via email at least 48 hours before the scheduled time to be eligible for a partial refund
We will notify you once we’ve received your cancellation, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too. 
If more than 15 business days have passed since we’ve approved your return, please contact us at hello@staysharpstudio.com.

  • A 20% administrative fee will be deducted from all eligible refunds to cover processing and scheduling costs.

  • No refunds will be issued for:

    • Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the appointment

    • Failure to attend (no-shows)


Need to Change Dates?

No problem — we understand that things happen.

  • With a minimum of 48 hours’ notice, your booking fee may be transferred to a new appointment date.

  • Reschedule requests made less than 48 hours before the appointment will forfeit 100% of the booking fee.


Age Requirements & Studio Rules

Under 16s

  • Anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a chaperone while in the studio.

  • If receiving a piercing, the client must meet the requirements outlined in our Age Restrictions Policy for the requested service.


Age Verification

  • Valid hard-copy photo ID is required for all services due to insurance requirements.

  • If ID cannot be provided at the appointment, we are unable to perform the piercing.

  • No refunds will be issued for failure to provide valid ID, as this covers a reasonable portion of lost earnings.


Moral Support & Chaperones

  • Chaperones or support persons must be at least 14 years old to enter the piercing area.

  • For piercings requiring the client to be 18+, no additional persons will be permitted in the piercing space.

  • Chaperones must:

    • Remain seated

    • Follow all studio instructions

    • Avoid causing distractions


Children in the Waiting Area

  • Our piercing studio is located downstairs, and we cannot accommodate babies or young children in the waiting area unless another adult is present to supervise them.

  • Our waiting area is small, so we ask clients to avoid bringing additional guests where possible.

We understand childcare is not always available. If you notify us at least 2 hours before your appointment, we will reschedule once within a 14-day window.
No refunds will be issued in this situation.


Studio Environment & Guest Limitations

Our lobby is shared with tattoo artists. To minimise disruption, we kindly ask that clients attend appointments alone where possible. We appreciate your cooperation in keeping the studio calm and professional.


Body Jewelry – Returns & Refunds

All body jewelry sold by Stay Sharp Studio is considered custom-made or custom-sourced to order.

Jewelry Sales Policy

  • All jewelry sales are final once an order is placed.

  • Items are non-refundable and non-exchangeable, whether:

    • Paid in full

    • Secured with a deposit

    • Purchased via a payment plan

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, hygiene-sensitive items such as body jewelry are exempt from cancellation rights once opened, worn, or fitted.

Damages and issues

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right!


Sizing Responsibility

  • Refunds will not be issued for incorrect sizing.

  • It is the customer’s responsibility to check measurements before ordering.

  • If you’re unsure, we’re happy to help — please contact us before placing your order.


Manufacturer’s Guarantee

  • Jewelry covered by a manufacturer’s guarantee may be eligible for repair or replacement in cases of a confirmed manufacturing defect only.

  • This does not cover:

    • Accidental damage

    • Loss

    • General wear and tear

    • A refund

Customers are responsible for all shipping and inspection fees associated with guarantee claims unless otherwise stated.


Policy Enforcement & Compliance

Stay Sharp Studio reserves the right to enforce these policies strictly.
No verbal or informal communication may override these written terms unless confirmed in writing by studio management.

Any exceptions are made at our sole discretion and do not constitute a waiver of future enforcement.

These terms comply fully with:

  • Consumer Rights Act 2015

  • Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013

  • Relevant UK hygiene and safety regulations
